FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A religious group claims to know when Jesus will return and billboards coming to Fort Wayne will remind residents just when that day will be.

The Christian group We Can Know said an analysis of scripture reveals Jesus will come on May 21, 2011. The group’s website includes a countdown at the top of the page, today indicating that Judgment Day will take place in 5 months and 17 days.

A representative from the group said the billboard images are meant to inspire people, not frighten them.

The group said “He will close the door to salvation on May 21, 2011 when He returns to take his elect children to heaven and begins the day of Judgment on earth for all of those left behind until October 21, 2011 when He will destroy the world and all that is therein.”

Billboards have gone up in Omaha and Nashville, Tenn. and can also be found in Atlanta, Detroit, Kansas City and St. Louis, among others.

The billboards will be on display throughout the holiday season and will appear in Fort Wayne this month.
