NEW HAVEN & NOBLE CO. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Police are investigating two crashes which claimed the lives of two bicyclists.

In one of the incidents, officials say 42-year-old Menno Schwartz of New Haven was killed when a pickup truck struck his bike on Thimlar Road in northeast Allen County.

The truck driver told police he took his eyes off the road and didn't see Schwartz.

Then in Noble County, 20-year-old Talia Smith was struck by a vehicle while riding on Old State Road 3 around noon Wednesday.

Smith died at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
