INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Indianapolis Metropolitan police have found a missing 10-month-old girl and taken her mother into custody.
The girl, Shaniya Harden, was found near 42nd and Post Road on the city's northeast side early Tuesday morning according to WTHR-TV. The girl appeared unharmed, WTHR said.
An Amber Alert was issued Monday night for a 10-month-old girl who police say was abducted from a Northeastside day care by her mother.
Shaniya Harden was taken from Little Dreamers Day Care about 10 a.m. Monday by Shyane Harden, 19, Indianapolis, who recently lost custody of Shaniya, police said. The day care is at 3905 Sadlier Drive.
A 1992 white Buick LeSabre that Harden was driving was found abandoned Monday afternoon near 42nd Street and Mitthoefer Road.
The child suffers from a medical issue that requires her to have the medications amoxicillin and albuterol at least four times a day, police said. Both medications were left behind.
