2 Found Dead On Christmas Morning In Indianapolis

Detectives are on the scene of a Christmas morning death investigation in Indianapolis. Two people are dead and one is critically injured.

INDIANAPOLIS -- UPDATE: According to Public Information Officer Sergeant Paul Thompson of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, police are not currently looking for a suspect at this time. They believe all people involved in the death investigation have been detained.

While police are dealing with a language barrier in the primarily Hispanic building, additonal translators have been brought in. They have assisted police in interviews and have determined there are seven or eight potential witnesses to the incident.

According to Thompson, the incident occured during a party that was going in the building for as many as two days.

A man and a woman are dead and a third person was critically injured early Christmas morning on Indianapolis' east side.

According to our NBC Affiliate television station, WTHR, in Indianapolis, it happened at the Bradford Square Apartments in the 6200 block of Eastridge Drive.

Police got a 9-1-1 call from a male who sounded frantic and spoke little English. At 6:51 a.m., first responders discovered a deceased male in front of the building at 6242 Eastridge Drive. His death was caused by some kind of trauma, unknown at this time.

Responders found another male inside the building in an apartment with a neck injury. He was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition. Moments later, a deceased female was found in the same building.

According to dispatchers with the City of Indianapolis Police Department, detectives are working at the scene at this time to determine what happened.
