INDIANA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - As the November election approaches the nation is growing skeptical of the Democratic Party.

That message comes from ABC News Political Analyst Amy Walters.

She spoke with Indiana's NewsCenter about where Hoosiers stand.

She says Brad Ellsworth is the perfect candidate. However, not as well known as Coats.

Walters says, “Indiana was such a fascinating state to watch in 2008 and in 2010 it seems to be going back to its red roots. Brad Ellsworth is in many ways the perfect Democratic candidate for this seat. He is a moderate; he has a background outside of politics. He's been involved with Law Enforcement. This would be a good model for a Democrat running in a state like Indiana but it's a really bad year to be a Democrat.”
