ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Allen County ordinance dealing with "K2" could be taken up by county officials in September.

County Council President Paula Hughes also serves on the local Drug and Alcohol Consortium Board.

She says the county wants to be on solid footing before developing the ordinance language.

Hughes says, “One of the things that we're doing in the county is making sure that our ordinance is enforceable and that the recommendations we make to the state are enforceable. Fortunately, we have the county prosecutor as a part of county government, so they can check that for us."

Hughes says the County Commissioners will have to enact any legislation regulating "K2" under the county's jurisdiction.
