FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – The brutal execution of a British journalist has been one of the latest acts of violence the terrorist group Isis has committed.

President Obama’s Administration has called the execution of James Foley an act of terrorism.

21Alive had the opportunity to sit down with U.S Indiana Congressman Marlin Stutzman and get his opinion on the President's handling of the current climate in Iraq.

Stutzman says he has handled the situation correctly, but it's far from perfect, specifically, when it comes to withdrawing troops from the area.

“I think that's the mistake that the President has made by letting them know that we're going to back off,” said Stutzman. “Even if we do, let's not send them that message. Let’s let them know that we are strong and that the United States is going to be strong militarily and economically. I know that a lot of Americans, including myself are war weary, but these folks are not going to stop.”

Stutzman went on to say should the President seek help from Congress to fight Isis he will be able to find some support.
