Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A couple of Fort Wayne’s finest were promoted Monday morning.

Lieutenant Kevin Hunter will begin his new assignment as Captain of the Vice and Narcotics Division.

Captain James Feasel-Jr. is now the Deputy Chief of the Northeast Division and Deputy Chief Garry Hamilton will replace previous Deputy Chief Nancy Chamberlin of the Southeast Division.

Chamberlin retired after 27-years of service.

Police Chief Rusty York told us he thinks these are the right people for the job.

Chief York said, “It is exciting, you know because we've had quite a few retirements in the past year and so these have been people that we've been mentoring for quite some time, they are taking the next step.”

York said he's happy to promote people who have worked so hard in his department.
