INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - It's a dubious record but Indiana's House Democrats have staged the longest walk-out since one happened in Texas back in 2003.
Meanwhile, Republicans in the Indiana State Senate are moving forward to get the legislature back on track amid the 30-day long protest.
The appropriations committee held its first hearing on a two-year state budget bill on Monday.
The Republican head of the House Budget-Writing Committee, Jeff Espich, testified they don't intend to raise taxes or cut education funding.
Republicans also plan to fold other stalled House measures that are key to Governor Daniels' agenda into Senate bills to get them passed.
