FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -The Federal Healthcare Reform Law brought sweeping changes to the country, but you might not realize it's also having an impact on the way the government reviews your taxes.

The IRS has hired nearly one-thousand new auditors, and many of those will be assigned to implement healthcare reforms.

Many local tax preparers say they've seen a much faster response to document questions by the IRS.

While overall audits are expected to increase, much of the increased focus could be on wealthy filers.

CPA Jeff Griggs says, “They figured out we're spending 8 hours on this audit and we have spent the time on a million dollar return, with the computers, they're getting a lot smarter.”

Griggs says you need to make sure you report all your income to reduce the risk of an audit.
