FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) — Due to improvements in distance learning technology and changes in the study patterns of its students, the IPFW Warsaw Center will be closing, effective May 31, 2013.

IPFW opened its Warsaw Center in 2003 to allow students to take their classes either through closed circuit television or from an instructor right in the room with them.

IPFW officials say classes can stream or broadcast current Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) Fort Wayne classes
‘live’ or on-demand to students’ mobile devices via the
Internet, eliminating the need for students to travel to a central
location.

According to Executive Director of the Division of Continuing Studies Deb Conklin, Warsaw enrollments have grown in online and technology-based instruction.

IPFW plans to continue its relationships with the city and people of Warsaw.
