Governor Daniels Signs Statewide Smoking Ban

March 9, 2012 Updated Mar 19, 2012 at 2:50 PM EST

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The watered down statewide smoking ban has been signed by Governor Mitch Daniels.

The smoking ban exempts Indiana's bars, casinos, retail tobacco shops and private clubs, such as veterans and fraternal organizations will take effect in July. This will allow plenty of time for the other establishments around the state to begin notifying their patrons of the changes.
