INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Indiana Speaker of the House is urging State Representative (R) Phil Hinkle to step down.

Hinkle is embroiled in a sex scandal, accused of using Craigslist to arrange a meeting at a hotel with an 18-year-old man.

In a letter written by Speaker Brian Bosma to Hinkle, Bosma says... While the entire House Republican leadership team has compassion for Phil and his family, it is clear that Representative Hinkle would best serve his constituents and our state by stepping down immediately and returning to private life. Hinkle has said he did nothing illegal and he will not resign but doesn't plan to run for re-election next year.
