Democrat Candidate For Governor Promises to Strengthen Child Safety

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor Vi Simpson was in Fort Wayne Thursday afternoon.

Simpson says if her running mate, John Gregg, is elected governor he will strengthen protections for children who are at risk.

Simpson went on to say they are proposing changes that would strengthen the agency including reinstating preventive mental health services as well as launch a statewide adoption promotion among other things.

She says money has already been allocated for these changes.
