INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - As the Indiana House debated Right-to-Work, the State Senate ventured into another controversial issue.

A committee passed a bill to allow public schools to teach “Creationism” in science classes.

Republican Senator Dennis Kruse of Auburn sponsored the bill and says he believes creationism should be included among the theories about the origin of life.

The bill now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
