FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - When hard times hit, it's not just individuals that need to find new ways to survive, but also social service agencies themselves.

The second annual Social Service Summit was held at the Public Safety Academy Thursday.

Last year's effort brought about a coalition of organizations with a goal of collaboration.

Thursday's groups included representatives from healthcare, non-profits and education.

A website has also been created for the coalition, and an economics professor from Ball State was the keynote speaker for the summit.
