FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) Advanced Engineering, a locally created and locally owned business in Huntington County, is expanding and adding jobs.

The local business made the announcement today at their new facility on Warren Road in Huntington County at the Huntington County Airport. Advanced Engineering is adding 15 employees to an already 30 person staff.

Today they cut the ribbon at an old airplane hanger at the airport. A fresh renovation brings office and storage space and the much need manufacturing space for its products. The new plant for Advanced Engineering, the second in their fleet, will focus primarily on orthopedic devices and surgical kits for knee and hip replacements.

Supporters came out by the dozen today to tour the new facilities and learn what kinds of products Advanced Engineering is making in Huntington.

The total investment into the community is $1.2 million.
