1 In 7 Americans Use Food Stamps

UNDATED (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - In a new statistic 43 million Americans, 1 in 7, rely on the food stamp program.

That number is up 16 percent from last year.

In Tennessee, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oregon, and the District of Columbia, it's worse with 1 in 5 getting food stamp help.
