FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Police are trying to figure out how a driver wound up in the median of I-69 near Dupont Road, facing the wrong way.

Just before 10 Wednesday morning, dispatchers started getting 911 calls about a person slumped over the wheel.

They think 40-year-old Thomas Barnett of Kokomo, Ind. may have driven the wrong way down the ramp from Dupont Road and into the northbound lanes of I-69.

Thankfully no one was hurt.

Barnett was arrested for a breath test showing a 0.16 alcohol level, twice the legal limit and found several empty beer cans in the SUV.

He's also charged with operating while intoxicated and being a habitual traffic violator.
