DEFIANCE COUNTY, Oh. (www.incnow.tv) – A woman is in jail after being indicted by a grand jury for the 2003 shooting death of her then husband.
Judith Hawkey, 45, has been arrested and is charged with
Robert Breining was killed in what was thought to be an accidental shooting by a 10-year-old boy. At the time of the incident in 2003, police were called to the home on Kyle St. in Mark Center where they found the body of Breining in the bedroom of the home.
At the time, the shooting was ruled an accident, but new evidence has encouraged prosecutors to allege that his then wife, Judith Hawkey, made her 10-year-old son shoot Breining.
Hawkey is charged with a total of six counts, aggrevated murder, insurance fraud and four counts of endangering children. Over a three to four year period, she allegedly tortured and crully abused a child between the ages of seven and 10.
