Warsaw, Indiana (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A Warsaw man is charged with two counts of felony theft in the misappropriation of funds from the Eagles Lodge, where he served as the Secretary.

Detectives with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the allegations and filed criminal charges against Carl Eugene Rensberger.

According to police, Rensberger has been using Eagles money for personal use for the past two years. It included cash from a private ATM at the site of the Lodge at 1400 West Center Street in Warsaw.

Results from a recent audit showed that, as Secretary of the Association and business property, more than $25,000 was misappropriated by Rensberger.

Rensberger was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Thursday, September 8th and held on $5,000 bond.

Police continue to conduct the investigation to determine if anyone else was involved or had knowledge of the thefts.

This case marks the third major employee related theft investigation by Warsaw Detectives in the past six months. They included the arrest of the former Circulation Manager of the Warsaw Times Union and the former Executive Director of the Kosciusko Board of Realtors. Those cases are pending in Kosciusko County Courts.
