PLAINFIELD, Ind. (21Alive) -- Plainfield has been chosen as the site for a brand new e-commerce fulfillment center, bringing more than 300 jobs with it.
RTV6 reports that the facility should be completed by sometime in 2015. The new facility will let Walmart process and ship online orders from the new location at AllPoints Midwest distribution park in Plainfield.
Indiana Governor Mike Pence said " Walmart would be hard-pressed to find a stronger business climate and commitment to lower taxes and less regulation than the environment offered in the Hoosier State."
Walmart has said that they will begin the hiring process for positions in October of this year.
