FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The 2nd annual Walk For Wishes is this Saturday at Parkview Field, and for a little girl battling bone cancer, she is grateful that her wish to visit Atlantis Paradise Island and swim with the dolphins was granted.

Ruth Beier spoke with 21 Alive's Melissa Long Thursday afternoon. The whole interview is located here in the story, and is from today's 5 p.m. broadcast.

Anna is 13 and her wish was to swim with the dolphins at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas. While Anna's wish has already been granted, the money raised from the walk will help other children like Anna get their wishes.

The organization hopes to raise $35,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Currently there are more than 200 children in Indiana waited for their wish to be granted.

Tune in to 21Alive Thursday at 5 to see our live interview with Anna’s mother, Ruth about how Make-A-Wish has impacted their lives.
