FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Repairs on West Jefferson Blvd. between Lindenwood Ave. and west Main Street will cause traffic delays this week.

Traffic is being shifted to one side of the street so the damage caused by the recent freeze and thaw cycle can be repaired. A Street Department representative says crews aren't just repairing pot holes, but will be resurfacing the entire lane.

While one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained, drivers should expect delays and may want to plan an alternate route.

You can get around construction by taking Bass Road/Spring Street (name changes at Lindenwood), State Blvd or Taylor Street.

Additionally, there will be no left turns from Jefferson to West Main.

The repairs are expected to last through Feb. 28.
