STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) - Two people were injured Saturday afternoon after the motorcycle they were riding on crashed.

Steuben County Police say Thomas T. Brodack, 53, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Laura S. Kowalis, 39, also of Edgerton, were riding the motorcycle around a curve on SR 120 when it dropped off the side of the road into some gravel. Brodack, who was driving, lost control of the motorcycle and it landed on its left side. Both people were thrown from the bike.

Brodack suffered mid and upper body internal injuries. Kowalis suffered facial and upper body internal injuries. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

A group of motorcyclists traveling with Brodack and Kowalis provided patient care and traffic control until rescue personal arrived.
