Victims ID'd In Garrett House Fire

GARRETT, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The DeKalb County Coroner has released the identities of the father and son who were caught in an overnight house fire.

68-year-old John Crain and his son 28-year-old Joshua died of smoke inhalation in a home at 1316 County Road 52, located southwest of Garrett.

Fire crews were reported of the fire around 9:45 Wednesday evening. When crews arrived the attached garage was on fire and the flames had spread to the rest of the house. And the blaze was brought under control around 10:30 pm.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
