FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A man and a woman are behind bars after police raided a residence on 1138 Wilt Street.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, investigators had received information that someone at the residence was involved in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. When detectives raided the residence, they found 29-year-old Matthew Yeakle inside who had a previous felony conviction for child exploitation in Huntington. He was allegedly found in possession of a firearm. Lisa Yeakle, 32, was also found inside the residence.
Both were charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana (A-Misdemeanor), Possession of Paraphernalia (A-Misdemeanor).
Detectives say they found numerous items during the search of the residence, including pills and paraphernalia.
NOTE: It was previously reported that Matthew Yeakle would be charged with felon in possession of a firearm, the FWPD is now reporting he will not be charged due to not meeting specific criteria for the charge.
