FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- If you want to go to Sycamore Hills to see the golf in person, you'll have an adventure in getting there.

The official detour takes you from I-69, west on Illinois Road, to south on Scott Road.

But construction-related lane restrictions on State Road 14 towards Scott Road will tie up traffic, and you cannot go around it on Covington Road, because the bridge over I-69 is still under construction.

So if you're not heading to the golf course, you might want to steer clear of the area.

“If you're familiar with the area, you might want to take some other routes and just keep that State Road 14 route open for people coming in from out of town off of I-69. Just a suggestion,” says Mary Foster of INDOT.

The Dicke Road intersection and Covington Road bridge should be open by September 24th.
