Truck Crashes Into Tree Just Past MLK Bridge (PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Crews are on the scene of a crash on Clinton just past the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge.

It happened around 9:30 a.m. Friday. The unidentified male driver of a pick-up truck lost control coming off the bridge and slammed into a tree. The driver was pinned in the truck until crews cut him out.

He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

This was the second accident to occur in this area Friday morning. The first happened at about 7:30 a.m. and there were only minor injuries reported.

Road crews were called to de-ice the bridge.
