Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Hoosier Journalist Megan Trent has been named permanent anchor for Fort Wayne’s MyFox News at 10 P.M.. (Digital 33.2)

“It’s an honor and incredible opportunity for me to continue the fresh and unique approach the MyFox Fort Wayne newscast brings to folks,” says Trent.

The Gaston native joined Indiana’s NewsCenter in March of 2010. Trent graduated in 2008 with honors from Ball State University with a major in Telecommunications with a news emphasis and a minor in Political Science.

News Director Peter Neumann said that of the over one hundred candidates who applied for the position from around the country, Trent’s choice as an internal candidate stood out. “We like to promote from within – and when you have a skilled and talented journalist in your own newsroom who grew up in the state the decision was made easier,” said Neumann.

“MyFox News at 10 is innovative in content, presentation and style, it’s particularly exciting to be a part of it,” said Trent.
