FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- The Allen County Sheriff's Department released video from a home security camera system Monday that shows a man stealing items from the residence in the 22000 block of Hurshtown Rd. in Fort Wayne.

It happened last Tuesday around 4:15 p.m. Police say the crook first went to the front door and took a UPS package before rummaging through the home for almost a half an hour, taking several valuables. Police say he broke down a door on the side of the home to get inside.

The man was seen driving a cream color Mercury Mountaineer SUV. He is described as being a heavy set white man.

"Here were have it. We have the person on video. We have them going up to the house, here's the vehicle, see what you can do with it. That gives us a tremendous amount of opportunity to have this case solved," said Cpl. Jeremy Tinkel, Allen County Sheriff's Department.

If you know who this man is, or have any information you are asked to call Detective Kelly with the Allen County Sheriff's Department at 260-449-6416.
