UNDATED (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Playing the Powerball will get a bit more expensive, but the chances of winning will also increase.

The cost of a Powerball Lottery Ticket will go up from 1-dollar to 2-dollars beginning January 15th.

Other changes will also take effect then.

The minimum jackpot will get higher and fewer balls will be used in the multi-state drawings, which will increase the odds of winning a bit.

Indiana currently has more Powerball winners than any other state.
