First Keg Gets Tapped At Germanfest

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Germanfest may have been underway the past few days, but today it kicked into another gear with the tapping of the keg.

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry was on hand at Headwaters East for the ceremonial tapping of the keg. This year marks the 33rd annual Germanfest celebration that has become a week-long tradition in Fort Wayne.

The Festival Pavillion and Beer Tent Hours at Headwaters Park is will be open through June 14th from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
