Teen In Custody: Standoff Between Armed Student & Toledo Police

TOLEDO, Ohio (21Alive) -- A standoff with an armed student ended peacefully at a Toledo high school Monday morning.

Police were called to Scott High School after a male teen was reportedly seen walking around with a gun in his hand. Authorities say the boy entered an empty classroom and refused to leave.

After about an hour of negotiations, police talked the teen into surrendering.

No injuries were reported and classes were cancelled for the day.
