Sycamore Hills In Line For Web.com Tour Event

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter)-- It looks like Fort Wayne will be getting a Web.com Tour event next summer at Sycamore Hills Golf Club. The Web.com Tour is the former Nationwide Tour and is the developmental circuit for the PGA Tour. On official announcement is expected Tuesday.

The PGA Tour is dropping its qualifying school and moving to a playoff format with four tournaments determining who receives playiog cards for the PGA Tour the following season. Sycamore Hills could host the first of those four events beginning in late August. An event like this would feature the top 75 players on the Web.com Tour, plus, money winners 126 through 200 on the PGA Tour. Just over 50 playiing cards for the PGA Tour would be on the line. An official announcement is expected Tuesday.
