FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Words of excitement are coming from U.S. Representative Marlin Stutzman after a big Farm Bill vote in congress this week.
For the first time in 40 years, a farm policy was passed, apart from a Food Stamp bill, both have been combined in one bill for that length of time.
Stutzman (R – 3rd District) says separating the two was an important move.
"This is a big deal. I hear from a lot of people that they don't like how bills are pushed together and passed by congress. This is a great precedent for congress,” Stutzman said.
The vote, which happened Thursday, narrowly passed, with no Democrats supporting it.
