WASHINGTON (www.incnow.tv) -- 3rd District Indiana Congressman, Marlin Stutzman, is backing legislation that would give Indiana parents more flexibility when it comes to spending time with their family.
Stutzman is co-sponsoring the Working Families Flexibility Act of 2013. Provision of the bill would allow employers in the private sector to offer workers the choice of paid-time-off in lieu of overtime.
"Our bill gives Hoosiers and Americans a choice between cash wages and comp time for the overtime hours they work. Government workers already get this option-so should everyday Americans," Congressman Stutzman said. "By fixing an outdated law today, we can give working parents more flexibility tomorrow."
The bill is expected to come up for a vote in the House later this week.
