FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- They are often considered one of the most feared creatures around the world, spiders.

So how can you tell if your home is being invaded? If you are unsure call a professional. But some places to look for spider infestations are damp, dark areas. One of the places spiders like most are areas of debris around the outside of a home, which can be found in tree bark or mulch.

But if you see spiders crawling around the home, chances are they are not poisonous. There are really only a couple of poisonous spiders in our area with the most common being the brown recluse.

"Well, it's a fairly bigger spider, and it has a fiddle on its back - it's kind of shadowed in there.” Nick Miracle, owner of Miratek Pest Solutions said. “And they're very dangerous when they bite you. And if it's not taken care of immediately when they do bite you then it could lead to severe medical problems."

Brown recluse bites typically will look swollen and white but will eventually turn a pinkish-red.
