FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) -- Another day spent at home for the kids.
This week we saw snow blanket our viewing area, yet again. It’s been a very familiar sight this winter, one of the harshest winters we've seen.
For the kids who are home from school, what better way to make use of the snow than to go sledding.
More than a dozen kids conquered the steep hill at Franke Park Thursday afternoon. The chilling temperatures didn't stop them from enjoying time with their family.
"Well we came out here for a family activity to go sledding," Skylar Davis said.
For the Davis family this was their first time at the park enjoying what Mother Nature brought to Fort Wayne.
Although the sunshine was more or less deceiving, it made it that more fun to come flying down the park hill.
"Well when you sit down on the sled you're thinking oh my God I’m going to go down the hill, and then you're going down the hill and you're just thinking this is awesome,” Taylor Davis said.
For Fort Wayne Community Schools this is the 10th snow day they've seen for this school year.
