Juliette Avenue Shooting Victim IDed

FORT WAYNE (incnow.tv) -- Fort Wayne Police Department officials say a victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting on the south side of town late Wednesday night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly after 10:30 PM. Police say the victim, Jose Pinto-Soto, 44, was found outside of a home on the 2400 Block of Juliette Avenue suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the chest.

Medics on scene initially listed the man in serious condition. According to police, he was then rushed to a nearby hospital where he was downgraded to critical.

The incident is still under investigation.
