FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Several stores are still closed inside Glenbrook Square Mall while crews repair the damage left behind after a water main break last week.
According to mall management, around midnight Friday a water main broke and flooded several stores on the east side of the mall. Exclusive video, 21Alive was given by someone who works inside the mall, shows the damage right after the water main break happened.
Wednesday, 21Alive spoke with another person who works inside the mall. They told us the Coach store will be closed for at least two weeks, because they have so much repair work to do. All the merchandise inside the Coach store has been removed.
Just down the hall from Coach, the Gymboree store has all its merchandise boxed up. GAP Kids, Bath and Body Works, Francesca's Suncoast, Build A Bear and Express also have extensive damage. All of those stores are closed for now, and it's unclear exactly when they will reopen.
21Alive has made several calls to mall management, and the parent company that owns Glenbrook Square this week. Those calls have not been returned.
