FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A scholarship fundraiser is being held tomorrow to honor a young Fort Wayne woman who died during the stage collapse at the 2011 Indiana State Fair.

Alina BigJohny's dream was to be a teacher and had just received an offer for a position in Muncie before she died. Her friends and family want continue that dream by helping others who aspire to be educators.

A silent auction will be held Aug. 2 at the Manchester University School of Pharmacy on Dupont Rd. in Fort Wayne. The scholarship was established in 2013.
