ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- After a teen was arrested in LaPorte County when police say he took a homemade bomb to the county fair, you may wonder about safety at the Allen County Fair.

But fair organizers say safety is always a main concern and that at least two police officers are always on the ground. When they have events that draw large crowds, they bring in more police officers. They say they're prepared to the best of their ability.

"You can't control everything so if something does happen you just handle it in the orderliest fashion you can and as quick as you can.," Co-Director of the Allen County Fair, Jerry Hammon, said.

Despite the situation in LaPorte County, backpacks and other bags are allowed at the Allen County Fair.
