FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - A Summit City small business is closing up shop after four decades.

Rustic Hutch is closing its two stores at Jefferson Pointe and at Pine Valley.

Owners Bill and Diana Bodecker will be retiring when the stores close.

"Everything has its seasons, and ours is here," Bill Bodecker says. "People have been coming in today with tears in their eyes. And I've cried back with them a little bit."

Rustic Hutch is a furniture and home decor store that opened in 1974.

Employees will sell off the remaining inventory through a liquidation beginning Aug. 15. Both stores will be closed a week leading up to the sale.
