Roanoke, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Wednesday night a big check presentation was held for the local Honor Flight organization.

The Roanoke group received a check for $20,000, from American Legion Post 160.

The money came from summer fundraising and a benefit concert.

The donation will help off-set the cost of the next Honor Flight, which is scheduled for the 15th. The Honor Flight takes American veterans on a day-long trip to Washington, D.C. to see the national memorials built in their honor.
