FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A news conference is set for Wednesday to release the findings of an investigation into 122nd Fighter Wing Colonel David Augustine.
In May, it was announced that the Air National Guard was investigating him on accusations that Augustine wasted thousands of taxpayer dollars. Some of the allegations included spending $50,000 dollars on a neon sign for the base, $100,000 on speech classes for airmen, and another $50,000 on holiday parties at the base among other things.
Indiana National Guard Major General Martin Umbarger will meet with reporters to release the findings of the investigation.
