FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - A once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon will light up the night sky overnight Friday and Saturday.

A rare meteor shower will be visible from earth around midnight through 5 a.m. Saturday.

With clear skies, scientists estimate as many as 100 to 400 meteors could burn through Earth's atmosphere per hour.
