"It's awesome. I idolized him as a little girl,” said Mindy Kremer, fan who stopped by the set.

The sightings of Rob Van Winkle, also known as Vanilla Ice, have fans flocking to the areas where he has been spotted in hopes of meeting him and getting a picture.

"I'm surprised they even recognize me in this Amish gear,” said Vanilla Ice.

One fan spent five hours in the car searching for a sighting of Vanilla Ice, and the hard work paid off. She was able to meet him and have her picture taken with him.

"Trying to find him, we stopped at all these gas stations finding clues, and so we've been driving around trying to find this place,” said Mary Codling, fan.

“My motto is shake a hand, make a friend. So smiles are contagious. The more smiles you have the better it is,” said Vanilla Ice.

For the new show Vanilla Ice partners with a local Amish construction company and works on renovation projects with them.

"We pride ourselves with the Amish people, which is a great, great community, that are great builders. It's a good little gel kind of thing together, where we're building in some great projects that we're working on and it's going to be amazing in the end,” said Vanilla Ice.

21Alive’s Stephanie Parkinson’s sources at the set location told her Vanilla Ice Goes Amish is set to launch later this year or early next year.

"I think it's awesome that he's expanding his knowledge of construction. Because his show on DIY is, his homes that he does on there are amazing,” said Codling.

"It's going to be a magical show. We've caught some very magical moments,” said Vanilla Ice.

The new show will air on either the DIY network or HGTV.
