Purdue, IPFW Announce Decrease In Housing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Purdue University announced they will be decreasing room rates, as well as reducing board rates for the second straight year.

The Purdue Board of Trustees approved the rate reductions Saturday.

Students at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will see no average increases in housing for the upcoming 2014-15 school year.

Housing rates will range from a 1.8 percent decrease to 2.3 percent increase depending on the room option.

However, 70 percent of IPFW's room rates will remain flat or be reduced from the 2013-14 school year.
