"Potato Chip Lady" Passes Away At Age 90

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Some of you might remember the Fort Wayne woman who sat next to Johnny Carson on the "Tonight Show" with her potato chip collection.

Myrtle Young, who appeared on the Tonight Show on 1987, died on Saturday of natural causes. Her memorable guest appearance on "Tonight" was ranked the Funniest moment "Ever" in Television history by TV Guide.

She worked as a potato chip inspector at Seyfert's, retired, and began to show family and friends her potato chip collection which numbered in the hundreds. She ended up making an appearance on David Letterman and traveling.
